This week has seen some very turbulent weather ! A couple of nights have been so bad that even our tough little Shetland Rockstar has asked to come in to the warmth and the dry of the stables. We have got through nearly 12 bales of straw this week just bedding the animals down so we are very much hoping it doesn’t continue until the spring .
However our exciting news this week is the arrival of 7 baby chicks from our friends #FarmwiseDevon. The children have loved giving them cuddles , choosing names and learning all about them. It’s amazing that in only 9 days they have gone from tiny fluffy chicks to looking quite Raptor like. I was reading the other day that chickens have descended from the dinosaurs and the chickens we have today are the closest living creature to the T Rex !!
